Satire Response:

The Animal School: A Fable
Reading this fable it reminds me of my high school where everyone had to follow what the school thought was the proper way to act, dress, and what grades you should earn. If there was someone that was different in any way shape or form every student and faculty member knew about it. It is not fair to expect all students to be the same. That will never happen. When looking at two students they might like the same subject but learn the material and enjoy it in complete opposite ways. The same with college, we should not have to take classes that are far off from our given major but general education classes do not hurt either. I notice in some of my classes that seem like complete opposites I somehow find a connection at least once. Students should never be forced to drop something they love doing or suffer bad grades without the help of their educators. School should be fun.

College Education and Technology
Reading this just all around shocks me. I know when my niece asks me what a record is I look at her in amazement. I hope that education comes to children and adults just sitting in front of a computer screen. I feel hearing other people’s opinions, having discussion, and just the all around atmosphere of a classroom is beneficial to the students involved. Having classes gives the students responsibility having to wake up for class and have homework ready by a certain time. Students also get a similar idea of a professional relationship when it comes to the student-teacher relationship. The biggest thing would be to have students interacting with other students. I strongly feel that a student who goes to cyber school or is home schooled falls behind in their socializing skills and may never pass a certain level and could appear to be awkward in a social setting. Plus if all schools become internet based, many jobs would be lost and those going to college now for an educational degree would go through all the specific training to become a teacher for no reason.

Honest Education Ad
This video ad kept my attention because I found it to be very humorous. It pegged all of the college stereo types in its short clip. Realistically though, I do not see a University having an ad/commercial like this because they would want to make their school look good. I could see some students at Bloomsburg making a short video ad like this just for fun though to create laughs, not to advertise the university.
